Why Hoodies Are Great in Spring and Autumn

Although I love hoodies and have several of them, I find that the best time of year to wear them is in the two “transitional seasons” of spring and autumn.

Why is this?

In the summertime, it gets too hot for anything but a t-shirt and shorts. Unless I am walking outside in the evening when the sun goes down and it starts to cool, I usually don’t need a hoodie.

On the other hand, in the wintertime the temperature dips, and hoodies are just not quite warm enough to keep me from shivering. I usually need to wear my thicker coat.

However, in the spring time and in the autumn, the temperature is just right and I end up wearing hoodies practically all the time. It is just the right kind of clothing to keep me warm, but not too warm so that I am uncomfortable. If a cool breeze blows by, I can always put the hood up to cover my ears.

Also, hoodies are super comfortable, and so I love being able to slip one on when I am stressed about midterms (in the autumn) or final exams (in the spring). During these two seasons, which make up the majority of the year, warm snugly hoodies are my uniform almost every day!
